My role & scope

Construction Project Manager for approximately 1,250 m² of refurbishment in an operational hospital over 28 weeks, July 2020–January 2021.

The challenge

Refurbishment had to be coordinated around continuing hospital activity. Work-zone phasing, contractor access, material movement, dust and noise were central delivery constraints.

My actions & decisions

I coordinated phased work zones, contractor access and material movement, together with dust and noise controls. Installation and close-out were organised within the constraints of the operational hospital.

Result & delivery record

The portfolio records approximately 1,250 m² of refurbishment over 28 weeks. Existing-condition, work-stage and completion photographs show the phased delivery record through close-out.

Approximately 1,250 m² over 28 weeks, with two direct reports, six subcontractors and 18 peak operatives. Work-zone and material-route coordination addressed patient, visitor and staff circulation.

My role: I connected the hospital’s operational access needs with phased contractor activities, workmanship review and close-out follow-up.
