HSE OVERSIGHT AND SAFETY COMPLIANCE

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) oversight is not just a legal obligation — it’s a leadership responsibility. I establish and maintain safety systems on-site that protect workers, prevent incidents, and create a culture of accountability and care.

My Key Responsibilities in This Phase:

Leading Toolbox Talks and Safety Training

I conduct regular:

  • Toolbox meetings

  • Induction sessions for new workers

  • Training on equipment, PPE, and task-specific hazards

This ensures awareness, compliance, and shared responsibility for safety.

Developing Site-Specific HSE Plans

I initiate and tailor HSE plans that cover:

  • Risk assessments for all major activities

  • Permit-to-work systems (e.g., for excavation, working at height)

  • Emergency response procedures

  • Roles and responsibilities for safety personnel and site staff

These plans are based on the scope, site conditions, and project phase.

Incident Reporting and Root Cause Analysis

In the event of incidents or near misses, I:

  • Ensure accurate reporting and investigation

  • Perform root cause analysis

  • Coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors to prevent recurrence

  • Maintain full transparency with clients and regulators

On-Site Safety Audits and Inspections

I perform daily walkthroughs and weekly formal inspections to:

  • Check compliance with safety protocols

  • Identify unsafe behaviors or site conditions

  • Monitor scaffold integrity, signage, barricades, and access routes

  • Issue non-compliance reports and track corrective actions

🏗️ Real Projects

In the Seoul Residential Project, I implemented excavation safety and fall protection systems during basement construction — achieving zero reportable incidents.
At Niayesh Mall, I led coordination with subcontractors and safety officers across high-risk activities like welding, façade access, and electrical fit-outs.
